Welcome to the Rebecca Romero Legacy Page

After the death of our daughter in 2018, our family endeavored to find a focus that could keep us moving ahead.  The path we have set upon not only allows us to help support those like Rebecca who were seeking to understand and conserve the nature that surrounded them, but how their place as hunters support conservation while becoming part of the hunting culture that is a tremendous part of Montana.

As you take time to explore this site, we hope you learn something about the person Rebecca was during her time as a University of Montana student.  We will also offer an overview of The Wildlife Society (TWS), University of Montana Backcountry hunters and Anglers (UMBHA) and the Montana Hunter Mentorship program of which she was a member of.   Finally, we also ask that you to read about the UMBHA's "Rebecca Romero Hunting Legacy Award" established not long after her death as well as the Rebecca Romero Endowment set up to support the Phillip Wright Zoological Musuem at the University of Montana.
